I need some help and feedback on the Rockler gravity feed HVLP GUN, #38269. I would like to use this to stain and use some spar poly to refinish three sets of french doors. Will this work using a 2hp pancake compressor with a 5.2 cfm at 40 psi output. And do I need to change out the tips for use on both uses, stain and spar. I haven’t call Rockler yet to get their take on this. Can anyone give me their views on whether this will work. The doors don’t have any large panels on them and really only have rails and stiles about 8 inches wide so I don’t think the compressor would be running all the time to keep up. Would I have to lay down anything prior to laying down the stain. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don’t have that gun Ed but any compressor that can’t keep up with sprayer can really make a good spray job very tough
