I really wanted to get my latest project posted today ….... but alas there were whitecaps in the bay and I was forced to go sailing. It truly is a tough life. Anyway I decided to post a little teaser photo anyway. The project should be up, barring any unseen catastrophes, in the next couple of days. Any speculation on what it might bee?

Back from France, and an a couple of amazing days in the Louvre, looking at furniture and all the marquetry, and Boulle pieces, most of which are in Pierre’s books. Your project brings to mind a ‘box’ lid, great marquetry opening via a wooden hinge.

An intriguing teaser, I am sure you ‘hive’ a great project in the ‘wings’!

We will all find out in due course Paul, meanwhile we can all simply admire another example of your fabulous skill with marquetry such as this piece.

It’s a beautiful bee, but when ,where and how I’m not going to venture. Hope the water soothed your soul.

Is it a box to hold all of your “Honey Do” projects?

well i know if i sniff enough of this i would get a buzz, and high on pollen, and i dont want to become a flower, so i will wait for the white caps to reduce to a low tide, and then the drunken sailor will return to home with a wave in his walk, and a slur in his talk, and a smile that comes no other way.
