Surprisingly I've never come across this challenge before and find it to be interesting. Wondering if anyone's thought this through before.
Because of the length of the beveled end the middle board needs to be thicker. I did not pay attention in geometry class, unfortunately. I'm sure the required thickness can be calculated, but I measured it as approximately 1 1/16 inch to align with the 3/4 inch end pieces.
This isn't a common angle configuration for me, so it just caught me off guard.
It looks like the two 45 beveled pieces are thicker than the 90 piece. This complicates things. You can use some kind of a CAD program to draw out the layout and get the angles from that. Each of the two parts will have a different angle because of the different thicknesses.
"Do you mean other than me being a moron? None that I can think of."
This has to be one of the best responses I've seen here! It is great to know I am not alone, that has been my realization far too many times when faced with a 'problem' in woodworking that is easily resolved by someone that knows what they are doing
Nobody's ever accused me of being a thinker. I'm more of a doer. After a variable number of attempts I usually get there. This particular situation was especially embarrassing though.

What , you mean you don't know everything about woodworking ? I do , just ask me and I will tell you so. Right and the Moon is made of Cheese too.
That is why this site is so great , somebody here has had the same Problem before and is not to Proud to tell you about it and how to Fix it.
I can't take credit for it. I found images and liked the idea because of my space constraints. Apparently the V drawer is called a corner dovetail. I need to look into that because I don't know how to do that.
