Hey guys I’m making a camping chuck box and the design I can up with has the cabinet door rotating back 180* then the top flipping over and resting on The Doors as support to the right and left of the stove

I can’t figure out how to have the doors act as support for the top open and closed because when the top flips over it ends up being lower. I don’t know hinges well but the only thing I can think of is if I don’t use a metal hinge but rather rig up some kind of rotating dowel?

With the top flipped, it will fall below the top of the door. Add a wood cleat to the outside of the door for the top to rest on.
