I have a Biesemeyer splitter for my Powermatic model 66 and the springs for the paws are no longer available from Delta. The splitter model number is B78440. Is there anyone else that is making them?

Hi Chuck,
This spring straddles the splitter and fits over a boss on each side and hold the paws down onto a pin to keep it in a down position so when you pass your wood past the blade they lift up and are held against the wood. They still make the springs for the Delta splitter but have discotinued the ones for the Powermatic. The powermatic springs have a larger boss so the spring needs to be larger. What kinda gets me is I just purchased it from Mikes Tool about a year ago.

Do you mean “pawls”?
