You guys are good at this lets play

name that wood one more time. Pretty sure its some kinda pine. made between 25 and 55 its some nice plywood whatever species it is. My thumb nail will leave a small indention, but its fairly hard.

I believe that it is Douglas Fir, not a pine.

Thanks it didn’t smell like pine. Pine to me always has a certain aroma no matter the species. Still gonna be a bitch to match to the maple . Good thing is she wants it dark.

Rotary cut DF plywood. How are you going to match it to anything? Rotary cut plywood has a very unnatural grain.

Because I’m that damn good! Seriously it was stained very dark originally and matched pretty well made sometime between 25 and 55 its the top of an old school desk a customer had as a child she wanted it to look new again ill post a pic when I’m done. But seriously I’m that damn good. And I’m a real American this is how I make my living so bring it on

saw your plane till bondo its nice, care if I borrow that idea for mine, been thinking of something to with them. Like you said they are on the bench and I’m scared its going to hit the floor mine is concrete also. you also mentioned luan plywood I’ve used that then painted it worked fine have you ever tried staining it.
