Cry me a river ? I went to an auction on Saturday and having little spare change I did manage to buy a few things but before I write what I bought I thought I would tease you first with some prices.

A general 10” TS with a Beismeyer 52” fence, side table and outfeed table sold for 325 bucks. A general 14” bandsaw sold for $450, dado blades sold for $20, 50 saw blades sold for 10 bucks and the list goes on. A mortiser with 5 brand new mortise chisels still in the box….......he couldnt even sell it for 10 bucks.

I bought over 30 3’ spring clamps for 30 bucks (there were 2 sets of pony pipe clamps too) and my deal for the day was about 500 to 600 BFM of 5/4, 6/4, 8/4 and a bit of 12/4 rift quarter sawn white oak in boards up to 14” wide and 16’ long for 90 buckaroos.

I felt sorry for the fella who was getting rid of it.The auctioneer was poor at best.

I really wish I would have that jointer for 10 bucks and the rototiller for the back of my tractor that sold for 100 but tomorrow is a new day.
