Hi, Am Patrick from Ghana.am a wood fabricator,am into furniture and construction as will.I have ten years experience in wood, apprenticeship and training of apprentice. I have founded and know that many youth find it difficult to learn a trade all because some mindset listed below:
1:Masters cause apprentice to pass through a lot of hardships during their serving years.
2.Learning trade has change to been a slave to the master.
3.Masters don’t want to allow the apprentice to own his business after the years of serving with buying of goat etc.
4.Learning the trade with empty stomach(no food,no transportation etc).
5.Apprentice are to sleep at the most uncomfortable area.
6.Apprentice don’t enjoy any benefits when there is a workshop training.
All these and more are what the fore- masters taught and did to the others,so it has became a chain in trade that is going on.
I therefore ask for a help and a support in all manner of ways to move on with the training. Learning a trade can be simple, then the youth of today can make it with a trade.
