I’m new around here. Been looking through a lot of the project files and I must say, a lot of you guys do some fantastic work! I’m new to the woodworking hobby. I’m venturing over from the metal side of things (specifically automotive stuff. 4×4s, rockcrawling, etc.). Have a small collection of tools that I’m slowly expanding on. I’m in the middle of my second ever wood project. I’m building some adirondack chairs for the back porch. Girlfriend has been wanting a set of them for a while now. I’m learning a lot throughout the process, and have learned even more since I started reading some posts around here.
Tools in the garage include (but not limited to):
Paslode 16ga finish nailer. Craftsman table top drill press.
I have a bit of a thing for the black and yellow tools.
Don’t have much in the way of hand tools yet as far as hammers/mallets/saws, etc. go. But am getting a good feeling for what I might want to start keeping an eye out for. The plan is to buy them as I need them, so I don’t end up with too much stuff sitting around not getting used.
Upcoming desired projects will be some fairly basic bookcases for the living room, as well as some overhead cabinets in the garage.
Anyhow, just wanted to throw out a “Hi guys!” as it seems to be customary on most forums. I look forward to learning a ton from you as I slowly make my way into fancier projects.
