Here is my first box joint jig i made for my router table. The idea came from Steve Maskery, he had a video of one that he made. Here is the link.

Mine looks different but i liked his idea of the dust collection port, which works really well. Its just made of 3/4 mdf and a couple pieces of pine. I am happy with it and i have already started a new project (A computer case for my media center) i don’t have any pics of that yet but the last pic is of the first box joint that i cut after some tweaking.

Thanks for looking

Looks pretty good to me. It’s a little hard for me to see the design of the jig itself in the photos. I guess that’s because I have never made a box joint jig before. I ordered plans and the hardware for one from Woodsmith Store so next week I should have some myself.

I hope mine turn out as good looking as yours!

Maybe the jig will help me get rid of some scrap…...

I like it, it’s simple and looks like it works very well.

Thanks for the comments, Yea I’m sorry Sailor i really didn’t even think about taking any pics till it was done and the shadow from the dust port support kinda makes it hard to see. Although i got my inspiration from several box joint jigs on this site. The more i come here to Lumberjocks the more i think that this site is a woodworkers Google, if it has to do with woodworking its here somewhere.

“the woodworker’s Google” I like that, sounds about right to me!
