I found this old bandsaw listing on craigslist today:

http://boulder.craigslist.org/tls/1727102096.html

Looks like a pretty good buy, though it needs new tires and some refurbishing. Should I go for it? Has anyone ever used or heard of the Sprunger Brothers brand?

You might want to try looking it up on owwm.com.

Sprunger was the house brand of “General Sales” I think it was, many years ago. Kind of like the present day Harbor Freight. I had a Sprunger Drill Press for many years. Worked well, no problems.

So it’s sort of like the “Central Machinery” Harbor Freight brand, then.

That owwm.com site is a good find. Thanks for the link, Walnutty.
