Topic tags/keywords: question mahogany maple walnut

Hey all,
So I am making a jewelry box, each side is curly maple bordered by genuine Mahogany and Walnut. I want to inlay a name or pattern into the top but I have no clue what would look best. I am considering Turquoise, walnut, brass, and silver. What do you think would look best?

Turquoise always looks nice and is pretty common. Brass will be low contrast against the maple, I would pass. Silver could be nice for a name, depending on the overall design. Walnut is high contrast and would look nice since there is already walnut in the box.

Put me down for Walnut because of contrast and I like how it looks
