Topic tags/keywords: chapstick humor cat

We had this great 10-year-old cat named Jack who just recently died.
Jack was a great cat, and the kids would carry him around and sit on him and nothing ever bothered him. He used to hang out and nap all day long on the mat in our bathroom.
We have three kids, and at the time of this story, they were 4 years old, 3 years old, and 1 year old. The middle one is Eli. Eli really loved Chapstick. LOVED it. He kept asking to use my Chapstick and then would lose it. Finally one day I showed him where in the bathroom I keep my Chapstick and explained he could use it whenever he wanted to, but he needed to put it right back in the drawer after he finished.

My grandpa had a remedy for chapped lips. He told me to wipe my finger across the mules rear end & then wipe my lips with the same finger. I asked if it had some kind of healing remedy. He said yes, it makes you remember to not lick your lips!

Like Mike said…. it’s usually best not to know what they’ve been up to while you weren’t looking.

Funny story, Bob. It definitely has that ring of truth… as well as the ring of chapstick. EeeeeW!

When my nephew was a little guy he awakened his mother one morning with a dousing of “toilet water” in the face.

Many years ago when I was a research chemist, I worked for the company that developed Preparation H, a hemorrhoid medication. We looked into packaging a semi-solid version in a handy lip-balm-style push-up applicator. Someone noticed the similarity of the packaging to ChapStick and the idea was discontinued.
