So maybe it’s just me being stupid….. but is there a way to search for someone on the site? It seems strange to go to the “jocks” tab, and have to look through 526 pages to find them.

For example, I was looking for a comment someon made in a forum not too long ago, but don’t remember which topic it was under. From his profile, I’d be able to see his recent comments, or look at projects etc. But I can’t find a good way to search for them. Using the main search will return any mention of their name, which wouldn’t work for someone like Marc Spagnuolo or charles neil, when there are tons of posts with people talking about them, not to them.

Anyway, am I missing a feature that’s here, or is this possibly something that could be implemented?

if you commented on their post ,
you can look thru your own activity log ,
and maybe find them that way .
if you ’ watch ’ something ,
and it moves on ,
you can hit ,
’ go to pulse page ’.
in there at the top it gives you some choices
about your own ’ watch ’ things ,
scroll down that until you find them .

other than that ,
maybe others have some better way .
just sit on this bench ,
a bus should be along soon (LOL) !

I was wondering the same thing. It seems that there would be a search box on the “Jocks” page that also allowed us to search for particular members. Also, it would be great to be able to search for members that are in certain areas. I’d love to become friends with jocks in my local area so we could discuss local resources for lumber, hardware, etc. BTW, does anyone know if this website is being run off of a stock system or if it is a custom built system that could be edited to add these features? I happen to be a web programmer in my day job, so I was just wondering. Either way, this is still a damn cool site. Just my two cents…

I would agree with slartibartfast. I wish you could do a search by city, state, zip to connect with jocks in our area. Also, I want to start doing some sculpting and I wish I could search for related stuff regarding the subject and people who sculpt.
