I’ve been looking online, and can’t find some things I really want.

  • A great rail/stile/raised panel bit set (I want the raised panel set to cut the relief in the back just like on the wood whisperer. 1/2 inch shank, horizontal raised panel bit.
  • A great aftermarket splitter for my model powermatic 66
  • info on the exact tenryu blade that marc used on the wood whisperer

By the way, I was welcomed with a bunch of private message right after joining, seems like a friendly group.

Well Marc is an LJ so you may want to send him a message. Just curious, are you considering buying the Tenryu blade? If I’m not mistaken, Marc wasn’t completely satisfied with it’s performance.

I am considering it. Or a forrest ww2. I have a nice Freud combo blade right now, and I’m looking to add another nice blade.

Most panel raisers come with an undercutter. Here's one. There are a bunch of different profiles available – I’m sure you’ll find one that works for you.

Right, I’m hoping to find the set: rail, stile, panel raising.

I’m not impressed with Tenryu either – I was talked into buying one by a salesman who said “If you like Freud’s Glue-Line Rip, you’ll love this!” I about croaked at the price, but I’m willing to pay for performance. After a day I went back to the Freud blade. I tried to return the Tenryu, but they wouldn’t take it back because it had been used. It hung on the wall for a couple of months and then I threw it away.

The Forrest WW2 seems to be the industry standard for quality blades. I tend to stay with Freud blades because the quality is top notch while the price is a little more reasonalge than Forrest.

Sounds like I won’t be getting the Tenryu, and I’ll go with either a Forrest or Freud.

Peter’s link led me to the right section to buy the rail/stile/panel bits I want. You guys are fast and helpful.

Thanks a lot!
