My wife bought me a SWEET set of chisels. I finallygot around to making a stand and I’m concerned about the finish I put on it. I usually just go with tongue oil becuase it looks good and I can’t screw it up. Will that tongue oil tarnish my chisels? What would you put on this type of project?

I generally use BLO for all shop furniture. seals the wood and controls moisture, but leaves the wood feel – warm and not slippery so it holds things well and doesn’t fly about… plus, its the easiest to apply, and user friendly.
