I received a gift card for L/V for Dad’s Day. Does anyone know if the One Way jaw sets will fit a Super Nova2 chuck?

No … OneWay jaws will not fit a SuperNova (or any other Teknatool) chuck.

So, why not just get two sets of larger jaws for the SN2 with the savings of knowing Oneway wont fit your chuck.? ............. Jerry (in Tucson)

Well, I don’t know. I have a SuperNova2 chuck and a Oneway chuck.

See the little slots along the side of the jaw mounts on this oneway chuck body? 1 or 2 of the jaws have pins that ride in those slots, but the pins are just press-in pins that could be removed. That’s the only thing that keeps the oneway jaws from mounting on the supernova 2 chuck, at least the #1 and #2 Oneway jaws I have. I can’t speak to the larger Oneway jaws or chucks. 3 of the 4 Oneway jaws will mount on my Supernova 2 chuck and mate correctly. It’s only the pin on the back of the 4th one that keeps it from mounting.

I’ll defer if anyone knows better than to do this, but they do match up.

When buying a brand name chuck always better to scope out optional jaw sets that fit your chuck. There is a couple of China made clone chucks that say Nova jaw sets are compatible with their chucks but would take that with a grain of salt.

As far back as can remember Axminister, Nova, Oneway, and Vicmarc jaw sets only compatible within those family of chucks. Each brands very good about telling you what jaws within the family compatible with their chucks.

If not mistaken Lee Valley only sells Oneway chucks & jaw sets, also a Craig Chuck, and jaw sets for Axminster.

There are a lot of new China importers selling different named chucks with free inserts & and ample optional jaw sets which are very good too! Again stay with that brand when buying optional jaw sets.

Plenty of other great items at Lee Valley to buy with that gift card!
