I read somewhere that you need to purchase proprietary tools from Sommerfeld’s web site in order to use his method of cabinet joinery. Is this true? What tools and how expensive? I want to buy his video but don’t want to spend a bunch of money on new tools.

all it is is an offset tongue and groove set of router bits and a pocket hole jig. I have the set of bits and a kreg jig and am able to make the cabinets just fine without his pocket hole jig. although, the new kreg jig is adjustable like his. I have an older kreg that doesn’t adjust and it works fine. The cabinets are strong and pretty easy to make. They do have to be made with face frames. I think his video is like $20 and shows the entire process. He has many sets of bits for making cabinet doors and different joinery and sells the router table, fence and router, but all you need is the one set of bits. I think i paid $129 or maybe $149, don’t remember. I am happy with the purchase.
