Working on building some large boxes, wondering which you guys think is the better band clamp?

have you tried the other two mentioned? I do like the look of the build on this, all metal looks like it will last.
how does the wrapping of excess band work? is that little round thing attached to the handle or just floating?

Have used those and more. The pictures say it all. The metal band of the Merle allows one person to work the clamp. Of course the extra band in the reel doesn’t attach to the handle. Just get one…

I like to use cargo strap clamps because with the ratchet action I can put a lot more pressure on. Here is a great way to make them work perfect by our own LJ ‘Boxguy’.

I just bought that Bessey from Highland woodworking. It was on sale for 23.99. First time out of the box and around a box, I totally love it. I just checked and it’s still on sale. That might be the deciding factor for you $$$.

I have only used the Bessy. It did the job so I was pleased. I would buy it again.
