I’m looking to take a finishing class and am looking for recommendations. I live in Rhode Island so anything in Rhode Island or Massachusetts, or Connecticut, would be great!

In case it matters, my work is mostly cabinetry, with some furniture mixed in.

Thanks for the suggestions!

check out Eastern Mass Woodworkers Guild.
They have some workshops and I think they did one on finishing… maybe another is coming up.
They move around eastern massachusetts to different workshops and bring in someone to teach the workshop. I have never attended but have checked out their website.

If you already know what finish and method of application you will be using, try contacting the finish manufacturer. They sometimes offer instruction or can tell you where to get it specific to the product.
