Had anyone ever purchased gun hooks in quantity? I have a customer who wants me to make quite a few gun display racks, and I’ve found some gun hooks (metal hardware) that I would really like to use, but they’re a little pricey.

Here’s what I want: http://www.trackofthewolf.com/categories/partDetail.aspx?catId=1&subId=5&styleId=38&partNum=GUN-HOOK-2&as=1

Or this: http://www.cabelas.com/p-0006548210349a.shtml

But I’m looking for a wholesaler. I might need 50 pair. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

If you can find some one who deals in Ted Cash products, they may be able to make you a better deal. Looks like Dixie sells them for the same price.

Orion,

That is a really a coincidence – last night I pulled out the catalog (#72) that I received with my last order with Horton and was just looking at your gun hooks. Very nice, thanks for writing to suggest them.

Also – thanks for the suggestion of looking at what Dixie has to offer, Topamax. I’ve been poking around their site all morning.

Great suggestions, I knew I would get some good answers here!

Is he going to sell the gun racks through a gun shop, flea market or what? My personal opinion and experience is that guns on open display are an invitation to thieves. Better security to buy a gun cabinet or safe.

Actually, I am going to hang a huge gun barrel from these gun hooks. I don’t know the name of the actual gun, but it’s a huge machine gun barrel. It’s about 60” long, and has been retired from use. Weighs about 40 pounds, from what I’ve been told.

The only thing a thief could do with it is ram a door open, I suppose. But if they got to this gun barrel, I suppose they would already be inside your home!

The display is being commissioned by someone at my local air force base.

Does anyone know who can make a quality rifle display. I would like to have it by Christmas but want it to be different from the red velvet shaddow boxes
