Have owned a Bosch 14.4v since 2009. It started to get more difficult to insert/remove batteries but I never paid much attention to it until lately. Seems the charger is “dead”. Before it went it seems to have melted some of the plastic on both batteries to the point where I would be afraid to use them again. The charger is the BC130 and I guess handles multiple voltage batteries. I have no complaints about the unit at all (it got a lot of hard use in its life) and wish it well in whatever landfill it rests in (after I send the Ni-cads to the recycling place of course). But does make me wonder about the newer multi-voltage chargers. Have a few Dewalts here but will certainly pay more attention to when the batteries don’t seem to slide in or out of the charger.
