I have been loooking for some time now for a 10” yankee 2101 Bell systems brace. I have missed a couple on Ebay but they are getting to be hard to find and know someone out there must have one they don’t need and are willing to trade or swap.

This Lee Valley brace I have tried and being a three jaw brace it does not hold the bit as tight as I would like and is not balanced very well. It is made of cheap plastic and I was not impressed with it. Bob #2 I appreciate the link and looking in to it for me. I am really looking for the Yankee 2101 brace.

Biff I only found one, the other five were different brands. I think I’ll keep the one.

Fair enough. Anyone else maybe have one hangin’ on the wall as a decoration or something?

Kevin, There are 2 listed on that auction site now (just joined and need to read the forum rules). I also got a Yankee 2101 from someone in Regina who collects braces and planes. I’ll look up his e-mail when I get home and post it here. he may have what you’re looking for.

I guess that does not auger well for your prospects then <gd>

p.s. try Lee Valley.
