So I recently picked up this used Hitachi C10FCH2 for my wife to use on a few projects. After my terrible experience with the Bosch GCM12SD I was ready to give up on miter saws for now while I contemplate a Kapex. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised with this saw. The only downside is that when you lock down the table it shifts slightly to the left and you lose square. The tighter you lock the fence the more it moves. If you shift through all the reviews you’ll find it’s a common problem.

Anyway, the modification is quick to do and is super effective. The saw is deadnuts accurate now. Not only that but it’s repeatable. The accuracy/repeatability of this cheap saw absolutely crushes the Bosch GCM12SD that I just got rid of.
