Hi Team,

I have a few table tops complete and now looking for a repeatable design for the bottom support. Played around with simple mortise and tenon design and now wondering tapered legs, maybe smaller rails, just not sure.

Any inspiration out there with pics from past projects or ideas found on the web? The woodmizer table from a few months back that our forum member had was nice, but the strength of those legs concerns me when they get too small.

Please help me finish these projects so I can start the other Great Ideas :)

If you google Live edge table you’ll get a whack of returns..Same as with Pintrest. My self with a big heavy top like that I kinda lean towards a trestle style set of legs.

Hi Mark,

As a computer geek I definitely gave the old google a try but I am not using the right key terms so “bases” and “table bottoms” show up scarce, usually just lots of tops. Since I want to avoid metal and build something sturdy I was hoping some members had a pic of their own success.

Thanks for helping, I do appreciate (googling trestle style now)

Google trestle bases. That’s where I get my ideas from. Sky is the limit with imagination. I also try to never use the exact same pattern twice.

Trestle was the right word, thank you. Also on another forum someone pointed me to “Nakashima Table” which is like the king of Live Edge and I have too many ideas now.

Thanks again for the feedback,

Have your say...
