Topic tags/keywords: resource question tip trick

Hello All, Over the last few years, I have been collecting all kinds of tools. I am moving my machine and boxes and boxes of hand tools and accesories. I am looking for a storage solution that would be wall mounted to hold all the hand tools and power tools. I was thinking of a wall hung cabinets to house my hand held power tools, and at least another to house my hand tools. I need to do this on the cheap side as I spent alot of money on the shop, but on the other hand I don’t want it to look like a peice meal job. I was thinking of having deep doors for storage on the inside of the doors.
Does anyone have any plans I can copy off of or any ideas of what I can do? Or where to look? I don’t get any subsriptions to magazines anymore but will probably start. So I can not reference any issues of shop notes etc…
Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks again fellow LJ’s

Just a thought, but you could build a deep cabinet such as you described, and then put in several of the vertical shelf standards (like at home depot) for multiple shelves of different heights.

Then, later on as time and money permit, you could replace them with something tailored more specifically to your needs. On top of that, good shelf standards can always be used for just shelving, so very reusable.

take a look at all the shops in here and you will get a fare amount of solutions
there even have been some projects and blogs about the issue
it all depent on what kind of tools you want to store some tools require a little
cabinet some call for a drawer others is best seved with cubiholes in a big shelfunit
all depending on the way you prefure to work some tools even call for a cart as the best
