Have about three dozen individual photos, ( not video-but real photos ), shown me building one of my 1:20 scale wooden model Big Rigs,- Where is the best recommended location on this site ?

  • Also, where is the best location for about half a dozen photos showing me drawing up a Wooden Model Plan, ( the old way by hand ) , to give other woodworkers an idea as to, ” how to do it,” or maybe even encourage anyone interested to contact me re purchase of a wooden model plan, or two ?

LJ may not be the best site for promoting yourself but a Blog is probably the most appropriate place for showing and writing about your processes. You can start a series and have different topics for each episode of the series or simply put them all into a single blog entry. You can imbed photos into your text as desired. One downside for using LJ for this may be that I’m not sure if you can edit or even delete later. If you want to sell plans, you might consider using a website like Etsy.com to advertise and sell and you can refer them to your LJ blog series for more info.

Lazyman,- Thank you for the info. Shall definately check out Etsy.com, and also have a go at setting up an ongoing Blog here, when I figure how ” How to do it,” as not real good round computers,- designing, & building wooden models heap more enjoyable for meee !!!!

Lazyman,- Looked up Etsy.com. Nah,- too fiddly & complicated,- would take days to figure out,” How to set it up,” Checked out several other ( so-called), ” Easy-to-use sites,” too,- also too complicated for mee. Ok for someone who knows all the computer stuff- but not for me. Don’t even own a Mobile Phone, ( cellphone ),- tried one once,- threw it away after the first day,- drove me crazy trying to figure it out -so dumped the stupid thing !!

  • Have an Editorial coming up in The Australian Woodworker Magazine about my Wooden Model Plans, so might spend a few Dollars & book in a small display Ad with the Magazine for a few issues, as The Australian Woodworker Magazine is well known worldwide, and could most probably be my best option in the long run.
