Topic tags/keywords: question refurbishing

My wife and I have an antique bedroom set, with the bed and dresser. However we want some bed stands to match the dresser. I have a good idea how it’s put together, and shouldn’t have a problem, except for an unusual piece in the front. Could this have been done with a router, or pre manufactured trim. If so, is there a place on line that sells this kind of trim pieces?

You can buy MDF 1/4 rounds that wide. Its generally used for
veneer and laminate work. Machining the detail into the
MDF could be more trouble than it’s worth… I would
probably make a bunch of molding and nail it onto
the curved MDF piece.

Not the only way to solve the problem, but the easiest
one that comes to mind for me.
