Walnut burl slab with lots of burl eyes, swirl and great true Claro colors.

From the largest points, this piece is 26” long, 14” wide and 7/8” thick. One side is flat, the other side has a slight dip where the face is a minimum of 3/4” thick.

A great piece for a small table top, pen blanks or many other small projects. I did a quick layout and you should be able to get at least 40 jumbo blanks(5” long, 7/8”-3/4” square) that will be free of any major defects. You should also get some additional Sierra sized blanks. As is typical for burls, there are some open burl eyes that will need filling.

If you want to use this piece for something other than pens, there are some checks on the edges and some old insect holes on one corner.

$50 + shipping. Shipping weight of 7 lbs.

These photos are not very good. The burl is much better in person.

I still have a lot of work to do on my website but my pen blanks page is up. I also have some of the best burl and highly figured pen blanks around. Go to https://rocklinforestproducts.com/Pen_Blanks.html to check them out!!! PM me for special pricing for Lumberjock members.

Your web page for the pens need a few fixes. The heading is only showing 1/2 of the letters and underneath it is a black block that is wiping out some words.

Eric, This piece looks very nice. I am still working on the redwood piece I got from you. A few boxes are in the works, but school and life keep interfering. I may be able to look at something like this Burl in June. I liked the album you did in ? January? That would be nice to see with some wood like this. I hope you can find time do work on your web site. Cutting all that wood must eat up your day!

This piece is sold pending payment. Robert, as soon as I get caught up on some bulk orders and have some free time, I’ll work on the website.
