So I bought my first brace off of ebay, a SoJo 731. It is in good condition and I like it a lot. However, the top knob doesn’t rotate. Isn’t it supposed to? I can’t really find any info on this model and I’ve never used a brace before. I found some info on a Miller’s Falls 731 that has ball bearings for the top, but I don’t think the SoJo is the same.

I would like to know that it is supposed to rotate before I try to take it apart to fix it. Thanks!

The better ones used ball bearings, the cheaper ones kept using plain bearings. If it’s stuck now you’re not going to hurt much by taking it apart as long as you’re careful.
