what would you recommend to put on coasters just poly?

I am in the process of finishing a bunch of coasters.
I used spray on spar varnish (like 4 coats!) on some that I made when I first joined the board (posted in my projects).
I have been using them daily and they are as nice as they day they were finished.
It was an easy finish to apply (duh, spray it on!) and they really are able to be wiped off.
