I have some cross cut slabs of hackberry or mulberry cut on a 45 ° angle 1 1/2 ” thick .. How would you stop them from splitting / checking .
I have them soaking in water now one in salt and going to put 1 in e85 gasoline What Say U.

i heard of this product but i want to carve names in these – then finish them . if i use a brand name i would probably use. pentacryle from what i got out of it that is the one i need not wood juice or polycryl witch are all about 50 to 60$ a gallon. did you ever hear of these.. im looking for a less expensive way thank you for your imput..
