I’m building a lectern with an angled reading platform over a storage area. Any thoughts on the best bracket to hold the lid up?

might be too large, but there are several brackets available for blanket chests. I’ve also see hinges that stay put where you stop raising lid.

Another possible idea is smaller cabinet door supports used in RVs...
