I have had the PCB270TS for nearly four years (maybe more) and generally it has been good for me. I have one issue that I cannot figure out a solution for. I find that the lift mechanism accumulates sawdust on the worm drive (not sure if it is from the worm gear or screw shaft). Anyway, this accumulation makes it impossible for me to fully lower the blade. I am one who likes to lower the blade below the table surface and then place a cover over the cast iron to prevent rust and accidents (damage to the blade or minor cuts to my fingers or projects).

Has anyone else noticed this and found away to prevent the accumulation of the sawdust on the lift mechanism? It is a real PITA to clean out because I basically have to crawl under the saw (or tip it all the way over) to access the lift.

I think there is a wax or a spray can that helps prevent the build up. Maybe you can run a air hose to the underside of the tablesaw pointed at the worm drives like many orher machines have to keep the area clean. As well as some good dust extraction, saw dust likes to stick to oil and grease.

Good luck.
