I have just completed a new 14’ x 12’ free standing workshop. I installed 8” wide #2 pine T&G as a ceiling and 3/8” plywood bead board on the walls. I am not totally happy with the beadboard plywood because the lap joint seams are not manufactured with precision and the joints are very visible. It is too late to change to something else. I have sanded the ceiling and walls with 150 grit sandpaper. I’m looking for recommendations for finishing the ceiling and walls. I’m leaning to an oil based polyurethene finish for durability and a natural wood look. Comments and suggestions please.

What about a nice coating of tung oil? not much smell and looks good with softwoods.
