I am building my first cabinet which is a CD/DVD cabinet in which the doors are also shelves. The doors are 3/4 Plywood and are 18X40X7 inches deep and hold about 150 to 200 CDs on its 6 shelves. yes alot of weight. So, never having built a cabinet before I would like to know what type of hinge will hold such weight. I have tried a heavy duty strap hinge which my wife liked and then 3.5 inch corner hinges—three of either hinge on each door—all with no luck. The doors just sagged even before I put in the weight of the CDs . Any help will be appreciiated. Books on subject or your personal experience. Thanks in advance. Paul

plang, Try these, they just might work for your application. They are a good source for way out hinge hardware.
