yeah, i know. my wood will be going with me, every single piece, about 500 board feet – enough to tide me over for awhile. hawaii is absolutely beautiful and weather is great. i’ve been here 28 years and it’s time to move on. just a little restless, i guess…....... -- cathyb, Hawaii, www.cathyswoodworking.com |

no he has never seen snow. i can hardly wait for that day! he is such a good little surfer dog. honestly he rides the waves in, ball in his mouth, swallowing so much salt water that he has to throw up-but just loves the beach. -- cathyb, Hawaii, www.cathyswoodworking.com |

We’re in western MD here. You will get some snow in the east but normally not a whole lot. However they got a storm this winter that shut them down for a week. We got 260 inches this past winter in Garrett Co. -- mike & judy western md. www. pvwoodcrafts.com pvwccf1@verizon.net |

Here’s a shout out from the Eastern Shore. Welcome to the land of pleasant living! Annapolis is beautiful too. Not as beautiful as Hawaii though. Can’t imagine giving that up. -- Vicki on the Eastern Shore of MD |

I am in Maryland. I live in Harford County, which isnt too far from Annapolis. I have located a few nice sources for good lumber and tooling. I can help if you need. There is one good lumber guy down around, outside of DC. There is another guy about 20mins north of Baltimore and of course on the Eastern Shore area. Welcome back to MD, you missed our 3 feet of snow! |

Ironically we had blizzard in Maryland the year that I left-so maybe I’m coming full circle now. Thanks for the heads up. I really appreciate it. -- cathyb, Hawaii, www.cathyswoodworking.com |

Like Todd, I’m up in Harford a bit of a ways away from Annapolis but this is a great place for woodworkers. So much history and so many great sawmills within a short drive. I was born in HI and my family spent two postings there as one of the few USAF families on Oahu. No liquid sunshine here in MD but it is nice to have 4 seasons. -- The Hand Tool School is Open for Business!
