Greetings,

I often take free wood to later cut to size, etc., but I am not yet an expert on identifying the type of tree that it was from. Through my process of learning, I’d find it very educational to borrow the expertise of the members in these forums, and ask them what type of wood they think a particular log is, and to hear their reasons why.

In browsing your forums, the question arises… Which of your forums would be most appropriate for such a question?

Thank you.

Under “new forum topic”, “wood & lumber” would be my choice. As long as you don’t post it as a completed project that should keep the internet police off your tail ;)

Great! Apparently, I overlooked the “Wood & Lumber” forum, but that is perfect for this topic.

Thanks!
