Hi,

I missed the sales in my area on the Dewalt 735 at Home Depot. The HD customer service line was unable to locate one within 250 miles of me. They can’t search nation wide, they need a zip code. The service rep was kind enough to randomly search zip codes in several states with no luck.

So, if your store has one, please pose the price and zip code. Maybe I can get it transferred to a local store.

Lowes has them for $550 but once I add a stand and tables, I’m up to about $800…YIKES!? nearly the cost of a 15” cabinet model.

Thanks,
-Rocko

Tool King also has recons for $499 right now. If you’re thinking of getting a recon, jump on it, because once they’re gone, it’s months before they get more.

home depot blew them out for $270. I got one, but they were all gone state wide in two days when I went to find another for my dad. that was a month ago.

I don’t know what they are doing, but they seem to be getting rid of all of their higher priced wood working tools. even the ridgid.

What are they doing?

Every HD in the seattle area has now hiring signs out front.

That’s great hazbro. The HD closest to me is in Rockford, IL. 19% unemployment…

I hope it picks up here soon.

I just looked up Lowe’s, and the price is now down to $534. Offer them $450 for the DW735. The worst they can do is say no, right? I have personal experience that most anyone in the tool dept at Lowe’s (or HD) has the ability to immediately reduce the price by 10% on almost anything. $450 is more like 15%, and you may need to press the issue (i.e. talk to the manager), but negotiate on it!!! I seldom walk out of HD or Lowe’s paying the sticker price on a significant tool like this.

Now, that being said, if I had $450, I’d be in at Lowe’s in a heartbeat for one of these…

Mark,

I saw that over the weekend. I’ve also picked up a 10% off coupon today. My local Lowes has two in stock. After I get off work they will only have one. $481 isn’t too bad. :)

Thanks,

A mailer for new home buyers. You should be able to request one on their website.

Have you been checking Craigslist? A lot of the folks who bought them at $270 (or less) have been cashing in by selling on CL for $375-425.

I’m no longer looking for a planer. I picked up a new 735 yesterday evening.

Thanks all for your help.

I sure wish my old DW733 would break or wear out so I could get a 735. I’ve had it for over 10 years and I have run tons of stock through it. It just refuses to wear out.
