My summer project is the construction of a hand tool cabinet, the almost family heirloom type. Example:

I’ve scoured reading about hand tool cabinets here on LJ’s and general internet. But what I have found missing, is the foundation and construction. The Do’s and Don’ts so to speak. It’s not a simple question to pose upon the forums as it would require indepth explanations with pictures. So… anyone recommend a couple publications of considerations of building hand tool cabinet?

FWW’ing website has quite a few articles and plans. Some may require membership.

I am attracted to the Pekovitch and Gochnour designs.
If you have a membership, you can view Pekovitch here or get the article here.

The Gouchnor article is free here.

This is another one I like.

Depends on whether you’re using plywood or solid wood but its basically standard carcase construction methods.
