Topic tags/keywords: unisaw fence tablesaw I’m looking at an older Delta Unisaw on craigslist. The rip fence guide seems to be round, sliding on tubular rails. I’m new in searching for a real table saw, but know the style of fence is important. Opinions on this style of fence?? -- Buddy Lee |

If the price is right for the saw, save up a few bucks and get a Biesmyer/Biesmier fence. That’s all I got…...... Jerry (in Tucson) -- Jerry (in Tucson) www.woodturnerstools.com |

Buddy – post a pic of the saw or link to the CR add if you can. Might be helpful in answering your questions. -- Bill, central NY...no where near the "big apple" |

Depending on age, it’s either a Jet-lock fence or its predecessor, the micro-set. Both were workable fences, but the Jet-lock is the better of the two. If the saw is in good shape and the price is right, I wouldn’t base a purchase decision on what fence is on there now. You can always upgrade in the future if desired, or you might find that it works just fine for your needs and you don’t need anything else.
