Topic tags/keywords: table saw skil miter bar help vein-throbbing fury question

Does anybody happen to know if there is a way to get a larger miter bar that will fit Skil’s ridiculous T slot? Or am I just going to have to grind a few carriage bolts and pray? I’d like to get some sleds on this thing or attach some jigs, but it only came with one little puny miter gauge on about 8” of bar. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, -Thomas

How big is the slot? You may want to cut a hardwood bar for it or talk to your local welding shop, they may have bar stock of the dimension you need. I have a Craftsman tablesaw with non-standard miter bars and have kludged-up various miter slot things for different purposes.
