Topic tags/keywords: dust collection blast gate

I just bought the Laguna 1.5HP cyclone with two inlets. I picked up a “4 metal blast gate (Woodstock) thinking I could put it right on the inlet port and then attach my hose, but the blast gate is the same diameter as the port.

Do I:

1. Run a short hose from the DC inlet to the blast gate and then connect my main hose?
2. Find a fitting to reduce the inlet port to the right diameter?
3. Look for another blast gate that will fit directly to the DC inlet port?

Put the blast gates at the machines. I find that more convenient than walking back to the DC to change the tool that is being serviced by the DC.
