I am restoring an old Buffalo Forge 15 and the piece in the photo is missing. I’ve found plenty of posts on spring repair, rewinding, and replacement but nothing discussing this particular part. It attaches the spring by means of the slot to the end of the pinion shaft with one or more set-screws, and provides spring tension adjustment. Does anyone have dimensions for this part? I don’t expect to find one available commercially but I should be able to turn one in a machine tool class I’m in in the fall. Otherwise I’ll just wing it. All the rest of the parts are on hand, the spring and cove, so I count myself lucky. Thanks -d
