The club I belong to had a day where we cut logs and put the lumber in the solar kiln. We had great looking walnut, ambrosia maple, red oak, hickory and poplar. There was 31 logs to cut and two bandsaw mills at our disposal.
The yellow mill is a mighty mite we used it to cut the shorter logs and contracted a wood miser to help out. We only got 1/2 of the logs cut on day one. The next cut day should finish the logs and fill the kiln. The lumber should be ready in August or September. Most of the lumber is fantastic. I can't wait, so I can buy some pieces for projects.
