I got Steel City Benchtop mortiser and four mortise chisels 1/4,5/16,1/2 and 3/8 given to me by a woodworker that has not use it in over a year, I am shock! but I dont have any excuse not to make use of mortise and tenon joinery. I already have a tenoning jig to cut the tenons.

OMG, Charles!!!

Was this thing EVER used???

You may want to look into buying a Mortise Chisel Sharpening Kit for about $30.

Having really sharp chisels makes a BIG difference!

Enjoy it. This was a really big thing to have fall in your lap!!!

Those things are really crappy. I’d be willing to take it off your hands for twenty bucks, out of the goodness of my own heart of course. Good for you Charles!

Congrats – I have my sights set on one of these. How about a review when you have had some time with it?
