Topic tags/keywords: powermatic planer knife sharpener gauges question

At an estate sale recently, I bought what I now know is a old Powermatic planer knife sharpener along with some other accessories. When I bought it, it was in a box with the accessories and I didn’t know exactly what it was. I saw that it had a nice made in USA Leeson motor that I figured I could build something with. Now that I know what I have, I’m wondering if it is something that I shouldn’t just gut to use the motor. Did I stumble upon some stuff that is rare or hard to find? I don’t think everything that is in the picture I took goes with the planer sharpener and gauges.

I’d sell it complete on owwn.com or here or Craigslist
You can buy a similar motor for $70. Some will pay good money for the grinder. The jointer knife setting isn’t worth in my opinion. I had one once…not very accurate.

What would be a fair price for the grinder? It runs super smooth and doesn’t look to have been used a lot. I’m having a hard time finding much information on this setup.

Depends on the length of the bar.

+1 OWWM.
List it on BOYD and let someone have the pleasure of using it for what it was made for and you have the pleasure of using the cash for [fill in the blank with something you want].
