So today is purple day meaning Epilepsy Awareness Day! I am an epileptic myself and I’m sure a few more on this site so its just a day to recognize epileptics and be aware that they are out there, no different than anyone else, just suffering from seizures. Here is my respect to all of them out there!

Thanks Mark.. You already know that I suffer from Eplipesy myself. I really appreciate it when people, reconize disability’s and arent afraid to talk about them. I think thats how we help eachother out is by talking about it.

My oldest brother is a Pediatrician Neurologist that has helped develop drugs for epilepsy. He has his own practice in Houston Tx. His lovely Wife is also a Dr. I know how trying the disease is & that treatment can be difficult to administer correctly. Hope you are doing fine tho! I just got back from my remote job tonight after a week to hear that on a trip to L A for a Dr convention she had to go to E R right from the plane. She’s OK now but was quite an ordeal to get the right treatment. I think he did more diagnosis thru his connections than anyone at the hospital! When I talk to him tomorrow I’ll mention your post here & that now I know about Purple Day, Thanks Mark!

thk you studie! and yes with the varieties of different seizures ppl have and the ones doctors know little about, the medications have to target specific ones and for many (like me) meds don’t even do much. But the more on the market the bettter so thx alot!
