I want to add an overarm blade guard to my Delta contractors saw. Would prefer to make my own. I have checked out the Shark Guard and probably would use that but need info on the support arm and mount. Do I use steel, aluminum, or wood and how to mount to the saw.

I’ll be following this thread myself, I am thinking of the same thing.

For mounting I saw this and wondered how it would work (this is a link to a Canadian site).

It’s pretty cheap and looks flexible.

I thought I had seen someones shop that they made one out of box channel but wasn’t a good pic as to mounting to the saw,
