Anyone watch the blacksmithing show Forged in Fire? It is interesting watch them make a blade out of scrap. The last one I watched they had to make a blade out of anything they could cut off of a car. One of the contestants was a young kid who did well. It was good to see younger people blacksmithing.

Entertaining show. The challenges can be a little ridiculous but I enjoy it.

I enjoy watching anything related to blacksmithing or metal fabrication.I usually can tell who is the first one who gets kicked out.
It must be nerve racking to forge anything under 3 hours, let alone a fully functional knife made from scrap.those who stay calm and cool usually do well.

There’s another new show called Iron & Fire – also on History Chanel – that adds more of a woodworking element.
Cool show.

I watched all the Forged In Fire shows the first year. By the end of the year it was becoming a bit monotonous … same ol’ – same ol’ stuff every week.

Some of these guys truly are Pros at what they do, and others have obviously been picked because the show needs some “drama” and “novice forgers” to make it interesting.

I doubt I’ll watch it again this year.
